Something about me…

I have decided to try and write a regular blog on our Caravan site which people may or may not read. It will contain all kinds of information surrounding our business which may offer an insight into the world of the Insurance Broker.

I thought I would start by telling you a little about myself – please feel free to reply likewise but nothing too rude please!

Where shall I start?

Well I am 35 years of age, live in Billericay in Essex. Married with two young children (one 5 and one 16 months). We relocated to the area having spent all our previous years in Ruislip, Middlesex. When I took the position here I did commute for a year but the drive was killing me! Don’t we all just love the M25?

I have been in the Insurance world since I left school at 16, working for Fairweather Insurance Services Ltd for 11 years and finally moving to HSBC Insurance Brokers for about 5 years before being invited to join the Board here at Alan Blunden & Co Ltd and as they say the rest really is history now,

What do I do for fun? I enjoy going to the Gym when time allows, spending time with my family and for my sins I am a Watford fan although I also have an interest in Southend F.C. and Dagenham & Redbridge F.C. – odd reasons but I will not go into them today!

I am also a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police and have been for some 17 years now – great fun and full of amazing experiences which I could fill this Blog with for many years to come…but I won’t for all our sakes.

I think that’s a good starter for ten for now.
