Just having a look at the most recent touring caravan news, I read that the International Caravan & Motorhomes Show drew over 70,000 visitors. This may have surprised some people with the current credit crunch issues and the news that Swift Caravan Group recording sales figures of just under £20 million equating to £10 million of touring caravans and £7.5 million of motorhomes. Of course there may be several reasons, the investment in touring caravans leads to the convenience of “getting away” at short notice and ultimately it may be more cost effective.
We at Cover4caravans are sponsoring the UK Motorhomes & Caravan Spring Fair for 2009 and 2010, and this is an interesting string to our bow. Hopefully I can get up there and take a look around, it’s always nice to get a feel for the touring caravans market.
Anyhow, it’s all dark here and I’m heading home to watch the England game and have a Chinese takeaway!
Have a good day

There are many ways to avoid increasing your motorhome insurance premium. You can decrease motorhome insurance premium substantially if you build up your no claims bonus and to do this you must ensure the safety of your motorhome.
Numerous options are available to ensure motorhome theft protection. These are a few examples: Motorhome Immobiliser – By installing a motorhome immobiliser, you can deter and prevent theft. The motorhome immobiliser is an effective solution for motorhome theft protection, which can also give you a discount on motorhome insurance premium at – https://www.cover4caravans.co.uk/motorhome_insurance.php
Alarms – Alarms are a very effective way of preventing and stopping motorhome theft.
Locks – Ensure at all times that the motorhome is locked; open windows and unlocked doors are sure to attract thieves.
Valuables – Take all of your valuables with you and never leave them on show.
Trackers – You can fit a tracking device. If the motorhome is stolen, the police are then able to track and retrieve the vehicle. Trackers can also give you a discount on motorhome insurance at –https://www.cover4caravans.co.uk/motorhome_insurance.php
Motorhome insurance companies are able to offer you a much cheaper quotation if you have ensured that your motorhome is secure. As stated above, you can also reduce a motorhome insurance premium if you employ motorhome theft protection by fitting a tracker or a motorhome immobiliser. Motorhome insurance companies are also more likely to compete against other motorhome insurance companies if you have full no claims discount.

Hi, it’s me again on an unusually bright Wednesday morning. You may be surprised to learn that I didn’t become a millionaire at the Dogs on Saturday so back to the grindstone. As the slow part of the year takes hold I cannot help but reflect on a very positive 11 months so far on our Touring Caravan Scheme and our Static Caravan Scheme. We have increased our take up this year and hopefully have managed to provide the kind of service that you expect from your insurance broker. This week we have a review with one of our Touring Caravan Insurers in preparation for 2009, it is always a pleasure to see them and have an exchange of views.
We have our ‘Team End of Season Bash’ next week. My team; Sophie, Sam, Sian, Sarah and I will be heading up London to the Rain Forest Café, which will be a new experience for me. It won’t be a late one as we are all in work on Friday and it’s my birthday!! I shall of course be 25 (or near abouts) and will be having a quiet meal to celebrate.
More updates soon!
Even as we approach this end of the year period we have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of enquiries and take ups on our Static Caravan Insurance Scheme. We have seen a steady growth in this area and October provided a record number of sales, as well as around 80% retention on our Renewals. We feel that we have very competitive rates on Static Caravan Insurance and that our policy cover is excellent value for money. Static Caravans represent a significant investment and you require peace of mind when you take your Static Caravan Insurance, thus you can be sure of the best advice when you contact our Team on 0800 9707172 and policy documents which can be emailed and will be sent to you on the same day.
Our Team is waiting for your call!
