Well it is Friday and my good intentions of producing a video blog have vanished. I found myself out of the office for all but two days this week and I spent yesterday as a guest of HSBC at the Henley Regatta.

That was a very interesting experience and I think the event was enjoyed by all guests. I have a seriously burnt head today. Note to self – take a hat on a hot day.

I have attended School Governor meetings this week and resigned, although I prefer to say “retired” from being a member of the Metropolitan Police Special Constabulary – I have been in the force volunteering for just over 18 years and I will be leaving on the 24th July. I have been trying to make this decision for over a year now. It is not at all easy to give up something you have done for so long. Ity saddens me even now but life has to move on.
