Good afternoon,

Excitement amongst the Team reigns here as the Bank Holiday fast approaches, Cath goes on holiday for 2 weeks, Sophie prepares for her 21st birthday (she may look older than that but no!) in September, and Sam and Sian continue their simmering romance.

Anyway, my son is healthy if slightly hard work at the moment and he is certainly hungry. We received lots of nice gifts from people although this may be our first and last child!

Well a visit from my grandparents looms large at the weekend so 4 generations of my family will be in attendance, as well as the Man Utd/Arsenal match on Sky.

And as it’s the end of the month it’s all about stats so may mean some work this weekend.

Happy touring

Dear All

Yet more recent reports have indicated that Static  Caravan purchases are the “in thing” at the moment with one major company reporting a near 40% increase in sales and that travelling abroad has dropped dramatically. As mentioned on this blog before the causes would appear to be the current economic climate and, possibly a shift in people’s tastes. Static caravans offer privacy and home from home comfort, where you and your family can relax away from the stresses of modern life. After all, the government are advising people these days about a “work-life balance” and what could be better than having your own weekend place to chill out in. And, contrary to what the sites tell you, you do not have to take Static Caravan Insurance with them but it is always advisable to have cover particularly in the event of a public liability claim.

And with our competitive Schemes covering your little mishaps you should be quids in!

We returned from the family holiday on Friday night, missed the home game against Southend and after a weekend of the usual “catching up after you have been away duties” Monday arrived and departed before I was able to draw breath and then yesterday we drove up to Birmingham where we had an evening out with Leadbank our SEO partners.

The evening went along way to prove that despite popular belief Caravan Insurance Marketing can be fun – we had a great meal in a Japenese restaraunt where the chef cooks it all in front of you – far too much food really.

Birmingham was busier than I thought it would be on a Tuesday night but sensibly I wandered back to the hotel at around midnight whereas some of my colleagues and associates ventured out for a lot longer – I needed my beauty sleep and my energy to get back here to sunny old Southend before midday to start catching up on all this work!

Conscious that I need to put on a video blog but time is running away at the moment!

Hope your weeks going well.

Good afternoon All

Well it all feels a bit odd, being back in the office as I have just had the longest amount of time off for years. I forgot my password when I came in this morning as well, but I am sure that all will be back to normal in due course. We went to register the birth this morning, regrettably my son chose that amount to become rather unsettled and thus all looked a bit embarrasing really. Fliss has taken the young man home and at time of writing he was sleeping.

It is a very strange feeling to be back here but the Team have coped admirably, indeed some may suggest better then ever!

Happy touring

Hello All

My sincere apologies for the lack of recent posts, although as Richard has mentioned there has been the small matter of a baby in my family over the last few weeks.

Jacob Ryan Stammers was born on 11th August at 11.46pm and is in his moses basket as we speak just relaxing, it really does put everything in life into perspective when you become a parent. He is a breath of fresh air really, very bright and (mostly) happy, and suprisingly I have managed a few hours sleep. Fliss is very well and we are planning a small jaunt to the shops today, not the most glamourous outing but fresh air nonetheless.

Well the Team are well and I have checked in with them, I think they are enjoying the lack of my incessant nagging but I will be back!

Happy Touring

Mike
