We would like to offer the opporunity for a member of the public – ideally a caravanner of some sort – to write a regular blog on our site.

We are open to suggestions but hopefully you will be able to write about your Caravan weekends, working life and offer loads of advice to our caravanners.

To be considered simply reply to this blog article with the offer of your services and as much detail as you would like to go into.

As well as being published on this site there will be a prize for the blogger we choose!

Well this is my last day for a week today. On Monday I will be driving over to EuroDisney with the clan and we will decend upon the resort and no doubt create a tidal wave of chaos.

I am the first to put my hand up and admit that I love all things Disney. When you stay with them or visit their parks (here or in the USA) you are guaranteed cleanliness, fun, great customer service and I always leave with a little magic in my heart.

I know plenty of you will go on to use words like – poor food, expensive, tat, over rated – but that’s not how I feel.

We are staying in the Davy Crockett ranch and my eldest is already talking about the fun he is going to have in the swimming pool. I have pre-booked our main meals so we will not have to worry about queues etc – that is a weight off of our minds!

So there will be no blogs next week and Mike is still likely to be off so things may be a little quiet!

Enjoy your weekend.

Over the last few months we have found our consumers becoming more and more vague about where they store their Touring Caravans.

We thought it would be useful to tell you what we need to know!

If your Touring Caravan is stored either at home or on a CaSSOA site then we will need not need any additional information, however if it is stored at a storage facility, on a farm or elsewhere we will generally ask you the following questions: -

Is the caravan kept in a dedicated area away from other equipment?

Is there perimter fencing and locked security gates?

How many caravans are stored at the location?

Is there CCTV?

Then we always ask you if there is anything else you would like to tell us?

Remember we have no idea where your caravan is stored so the clearer the picture that is painted for us then the better your Touring Caravan Insurance quotation is likely to be!

Happy Touring.

Well after what was a pretty good weekend – first trip to see Southend with the eldest was good and the 2-2 draw seemed fair to me, another 5 minutes of time would have seen Huddersfield take all three points I think.

On the way out of the door this morning I went to pick up my watch and could not find it, after spending hours searching the house I have concluded that it has been lost. I can only think that when cleaning the car yesterday I took it off and left it on the windowsill and overnight someone has walked off with it – a real gutter as it is my Breitling worth a reasonable sum of money.

On the positive side I spoke to my home insurers (Legal & General) and they confirmed that I am insured for loss so all is not so dark although they need to “interview” me by phone on Wednesday to sort it out and although the lady said I was covered I am a pretty sceptical lad and will not be comfortable until they do say that I am.

Mike, the Cover4 Manager, has not become a father yet but as soon as we know I will post some news here.

Bring on Tuesday.
