Dear All

For those of you that have kept up to date with our “celebrity sightings” for Touring Caravans, it appears those well paid, pampered stars known as professional footballers are not averse to getting the family into a bit of bonding. Rio Ferdinand, Machester United’s £30 million footballer has been spotted on a budget touring caravan break in Wales costing around £400. The image of the footballer is lager-filled breaks in sundrenched locations around the globe, but Mr Ferdinand appears to buck the trend. Naturally staff and visitors to the sight were stunned and reached for their autograph books.

Nice to see someone breaking tradional viewpoints for a change!

Dear All

There’s no reason to be miserable just because of the weather, we have had a succesful season and now thoughts turn to the next one, no rest for the wicked! This is the perfect time to reflect on achievements, and yes our mistakes and where we go from here. Planning for next years Spring Fair is also well under way, much more on this to follow.

My fiancee and I are going out for an anniversary dinner on Saturday night at a rather nice Italian so that I can spoil her for a while whilst my Mum babysits Jacob. Fliss has done all the usual things for the occasion, new dress, shoes etc but will be  a little unusual without our son.

Happy touring

Dear All

One of the things you notice most about going to touring caravan shows is that caravan clubs are growing in size and importance, so why not join up? We have spoken with members of many of the clubs and the passion that they have for touring caravanning is extraordinary, offering opportunities to make friends, swap stories and advice with like minded people.

What is important is that the people behind the Touring Caravan Clubs care, and donate their own time and effort to the cause. Most of the major touring caravan groups have their own Club, and it is all very affordable as well to become members and have access to their knowledge and commitment.

Happy touring

Well October is upon us and the main caravan insurance season has officially come to an end. We have had a terrific season and have secured alot of new risks but more importantly we have held our renewals and assisted on a number of claims where our clients have needed our help and advice.

What will next year have in store? Well we do not really know the answer but our rates are looking strong and we will continue to drive ourselves forward – but making sure we continue to offer the quality of service we constantly strive for.

The recession has not affected us in the same way it has other industries but we have not seen the end of the economic down turn just yet.

Perhaps as the Pound continues to weaken against the Euro we will see more people choosing to take their holiday’s in the UK and hopefully more and more people using caravans and investing in this wonderful past time.

The weather has been good down here for the last few days and the weekend ahread promises some sunshine in the Essex area.

Have fun.

Richard
