As we are attending with our brand new stand next year we have now decided upon our “giveaways” for the Spring Fair.
Our main prize draw will be a portable Bose i-Pod Speaker dock which is ideal for use in Caravans and included with this prize will be a new i-pod nano.
If that was not enough we will be having an hourly prize draw where each winner will receive a new i-pod shuffle all courtesy of Cover4Caravans and our partner insurer – IGI Insurance.
We have just signed off the artwork for the stand and you can see it by clicking the link below: -

And who says that Insurance is not exciting?

Dear All
It seems as if the cultural gap between the British and the Americans is closing at an even more rapid rate than we first thought and is not just confined to our political landscapes. We are enjoying the current trend of holidaying in our touring caravans in our homeland, which Americans have dubbed a “Staycation” if you are unfamiliar with the term. There are good and bad points to the “staycation” according to reports, for example whilst you save the stress and anxiety of air or sea travel, psychologically you may not feel as if you are going anywhere. Of course touring caravans open a new window of opportunity for travel, as barriers are beaten down and this in it’s own way is a positive. I could harp on here again about the US and the UK’s cultures, especially for anyone who has read Jack Kerouac’s “On The Road”.
And the trend looks to be continuing into 2010 with holidaying in the UK has gone up around 25% on the previous year, with people counting the costs of expensive travel and taking their touring caravans out instead. Naturally, the “staycation” trend boosts the UK economy at a time of national stringency and whilst Morecambe may not have the glamour of , say Monte Carlo, does that mean it is any less fun?
One thing to make sure of though, if you are on a “staycation” touring or static caravan holiday in the UK is not to work too much as that may just upset the family.
Tourism is the fifth largest sector in the UK and profits at attractions such as Alton Towers and in hotspots such as Cornwall, Somerset and Devon are reported to be improving, so here’s to it.
FYI “staycation” comes from the American term vacation and to stay at home.
Happy touring
Mike
Dear All
I couldn’t think of a title for today’s article as so much has happened in the last week. Regrettably I could not attend our Halloween party as I was taking my son for a check up, but I did pop in to see my Team getting into the spirit (pun intended!) and to congratulate Sam on gaining the DS.
We had our regular Team meeting on Monday morning which went well, we are all motivated for the month and have some new ideas and systems to use to provide a better all round service. Hopefully we will be quicker at getting hold of you as we have a brilliant new tool on our computers which was designed by our IT Team.
We have the stress of moving house soon, and is it me or are removal estimates ridiculous these days. We had a quote of over £500 just to move 2 miles round the corner, and we don’t even have that much furniture at the moment and with Christmas coming up it’s even more bizarre.
I played snooker for the first time in months on Saturday, and got a draw so that’s not too bad.
This afternoon I am beginning work on the Team’s appraisals which takes a while, but an exchange of views is always a good idea.
Happy touring
Mike
The Cover4Caravans team joined in the fun in our office on Friday by wearing Halloween fancy dress and our very own Sam Morris won the 1st prize and grabbed himself a Nintendo DS which was donated by the company to help motivate our teams to attend. We have raised over £200.00, however, at the time of the final amount is still not known!
Hope you enjoyed your spooky weekend.
