Back into the fold

Well I returned today from two days off for half term and despite the all day rain yesterday we had a pretty good time, we had some good days out and a suprisingly good lunch at Frankie & Bennies at Lakeside – good food and really good service. The lunchtime deals are well worth a look.

I am 37 today.  I stopped feeling old about 4 birthdays ago which is a good thing. I was in the gym at 6.30am this morning as my broken body continues on the road to recovery I feel like I am actually moving forward. This is despite the fact that I can still not run due to my damaged bottom and the embarrsement of lifting 1kg weights to build up my tennis elbow effected arms!

Now I am going to sneak off early today and get home to the clan and hopefully some presents to open! I really fancied a Nintendo DSi so fingers crossed the better half has come up trumps.

The house improvements continue to move slowly forward – everything just takes so damn long to get organised!

London tomorrow and back to the office Friday so not a bad week – the roads are nice and quiet – do that many people suddenly stop going out when the kids are off?
