REM In My Head

Good afternoon All

I was listening to my ipod last night and came across a song by one of my favourite bands REM and their track “Leaving New York” which I haven’t heard in ages and it’s still in my head now. In hindsight it’s a shame that they did not perform this at their Twickenham concert I went to in 2008. At my appraisal earlier I was discussing the change in my management style and this has been bred from my outlook as a family man. These are the words which strike a chord for me personally:

“You might have laughed if I’d told you, you might have hidden a frown, you might have succeeded in changing me, I might have been turned around.”

They may not mean much generally, but with the change in my cicumstances in the last few years it means something to me.

Also it was an amazing experience seeing these legends live and hopefully I can see them again one today.

On a different note I hope you are looking forward to the weekend, we have made excellent sales figures for the week and we hope this carries on into next week. I am doing some staff appraisals this afternoon and I have some plans for their development, they don’t know this yet!!!
