It is a lovely, energetic Tuesday morning here in Southend-On-Sea. Despite a very late Governor Training Session last night I am alive and kicking this morning – took me longer than usual to get going today but if we want the people around us to be motivated and enthusiastic then we have to lead them along.
We are now just 3 days away from the closing date for our Caption Competition – we have had lots of entries and we already have a couple of favourite entries. It is not too late for you to get your hands on our ipod touch – simply visit our main site (www.cover4caravans.co.uk) – have a look at the e-newsletter and send us your entry, the closing date is the 1st October 2010 at 9am.
The response to the newsletter has been awesome – thank you to everyone for your feedback – issue 2 is already nearing it’s completion.
Today sees a busy day and a nice lunch – just what I need to keep the energy levels flowing.
Have a great day.
Richard
Well I maybe sad and getting older (should be noted that I feel more like a 21 year old though) but the hot news today is that Phil’s new album (Going Back) has gone to the top of the UK album charts.
This is offering me some good “street cred” as I am obviously not the only one in the UK who likes the album. I have certainly helped by purchasing the CD, the deluxe edition CD and buying it on itunes as I was unable to use my PC’s CD drive to upload the new album!
So after a productive week last week this week sees no let up in my various acitivities – I have two evenings of Governor meetings – one Full Governing Body Meeting at the Infant School and some Headteacher Recruitment training at the Junior School tonight – another late one after a hectic day at the office.
Thursday sees me having been pursuaded to undertake some course being presented by the author of the book called “The Toxic Child”. I have not read the publication but I did attempt a scan through it – I am probably going to have to bite my tongue and just nod alot as I think I am not thinking the same as this lady.
Business wise we have loads going on and I have alot of new projects in their early stages of development – they are all very exciting which helps keep the motivation going.
My Caravan team are working away and despite our lack in numbers at the moment we are continuing to achieve our targets and this is good.
The Caravan Insurance season is really coming to an end now but we never rest on our laurels.
My song for today – listening to “Can’t stop loving you” which is a good tune and cover by Phil.
Generally like to put in a quote so here goes – “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”.
Have a great day out there in the jungle – if you have tried something new today well done!

Dear All
Well the rain certainly poured down all day yesterday, luckily my family avoided the worst of it but with the temperature dropping as well we know that the winter is well and truly here!
It was a very quiet weekend for myself and my family, we visited a friend for a roast dinner and he got to know how demanding a one year old can be! I spent the afternoon stopping him pulling things over but it was a very nice meal and a good walk.
Dagenham got a last gasp draw on Saturday at Charlton which was our first away point in League One and what a place to get it! We now have Colchester away which is another strong test.
Well the week will be busy as we are short staffed due to holidays but it makes the day go quicker, and a visit from the mother in law on Friday and my family are around as well.
It will be Christmas soon, this year has gone so quickly I can’t believe it.
Have a good day
Mike
To compare caravan insurance may require a certain degree of experience and knowledge of the marketplace. If you are confident that you know what to compare when looking at caravan insurance cover, then you won’t need to read this!
However, if you don’t know what you are actually comparing or the type of cover you need, then it may be a bit of a fruitless exercise.
Similarly, you may think it easy. Look at a list of prices, pick the cheapest – job done! What could be simpler? However, we don’t see it that way – and if you, then you may need to give us a call so that we can help!
A professional insurance provider such as ourselves has a duty to try and ensure that their client has insurance that is suitable for their needs. To be sure that’s the case it can require looking at a range of characteristics of a potential policy – and certainly not just its price.
The caravan cover
The factors that need to be examined will vary depending upon the type of caravan the policy applies to. However, a sample of general points may be:
It’s only by looking at these things in some detail that one can start to be able to realistically assess the merits of one policy versus another – in other words to compare caravan insurance.
That’s partly also why the concept of cheap caravan insurance may be so hard to define.
Of course in absolute terms, what’s cheap for any one individual may not be cheap for another, but it’s also more than that.
For most people, apart from their home, their caravan is probably one of the most expensive possessions they’ll ever own. Given its value and the potential cost of replacing or radically repairing it, the cost of caravan insurance may pale into insignificance.
That’s why cheapness may sometimes be a deeply misleading concept where caravan cover insurance is concerned.
Our service focuses on finding the appropriate and cost-effective cover for our clients based upon our experience and our understanding of their needs.
So, if you think you may need assistance when you compare caravan insurance then please do not hesitate to contact us. We will only be too pleased to help you find suitable cover that meets your needs as well as your budget.
Static caravan insurance typically offers protection against disaster striking your precious holiday home.
There are a few points worth keeping in mind when you’re thinking about this whole area.
What is a static caravan?
It’s a caravan that although notionally or occasionally mobile, is, in fact, pretty permanently anchored and secured to a single site location.
Some caravan insurance policies may define this very precisely including the fact that the wheels must be jacked-up off the floor and the caravan securely anchored via specific fittings etc.
Typically, a static caravan is occupied for a few weeks a year for your holidays and weekend breaks etc – or for holiday rental purposes etc.
Why insure it?
Your static caravan would be highly unusual if it was not exposed, to one extent or another, to things such as:
If you don’t have a solid static caravan insurance policy behind you, you’ll typically be meeting all costs arising out of your own pocket.
The parks
You may find that some site owners will attempt to pressurise you in to purchasing their insurance.
While they have a right to demand that you show them evidence of full insurance (including your public liability cover) they should not attempt to force you to take their own cover.
They may have a right to charge a moderate administration fee if you use your own park home insurance – but paying that and using your own policy may still work out more cost-effective than using theirs.
Keeping your costs down
Speaking of more attractive prices, don’t forget that you may be able to obtain significant discounts on the price you pay for your static caravan insurance if you follow a few simple steps:
It’s worth looking for these opportunities, as taken together they may save you a noticeable amount of money.
Static home summary
Caravan insurance might be all that stands between you and financial disaster.
If you have good cover, then a disaster to your caravan need not result in a financial catastrophe for you.
So it may be worth thinking carefully about static caravan insurance. Having its protection might help you sleep more easily at night – whether you’re in your caravan or not.
