Now surely it has to be peoples jobs to bring cheer on Xmas Eve – but obviously when the chips are down it’s important for people to take advantage of your situation.
While painfully prodding me I am advised that this is not ligament damage and that the simple and “this is not something you will want to hear” advice is that the pain I am in is the deteriation of my knee. It is only going to get worse and it’s back to the Consultant in January for him to offer solutions or not. (I can’t see the point in booking the appointment).
Lovely.
I can add it to my list of things that will play on mind over Xmas!
Any how, enough of my troubles, I am fast learning that your own troubles are purely that – your own!
Have a great Xmas.
Richard
Good morning
I hope you all are feeling Christmassy (is that a word?) and having done my shopping I certainly am. We braved the crowds yesterday to get our dinner for the big day, I shall be in the kitchen most of the day I suspect but there you go, cooking roast pork with all the trimmings.
It is also my Nan and Grandad’s anniversary today so congratulations to them, I shall be seeing them over the festive period with any luck.
The Team at Cover4Caravans would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, we have enjoyed speaking to you all and helping our customers and look forward to continuing in 2011!
Have a great festive period
Mike, Sophie, Catherine, Jecelda, Jade, Daniel and Tony
Good morning all
The 24 hour news channels are loving this weather aren’t they? What would they have to report otherwise? To be honest here in Southend we are fine, the roads are clear and we are very lucky. It certainly came down on Saturday with a nasty blizzard but it has gone quickly.
Well tomorrow I need to get the Christmas fayre, still can’t decide on what meat to buy (the dispute is that I fancy turkey and my partner wants ham) so we will be descending on the madness of the shops at this time of year. I am somewhat nervously looking forward to cooking my first Christmas dinner, i’m sure it will be fine.
The weather has wrecked the football, we were due to watch Dagenham on Saturday but that was called off as was Southend, good job really!
Still we are meeting insurers in London today for an Xmas drink or two and meal, I am off in about an hour.
I will doubtless blog again but if not I hope the weather is fine where you are and that you enjoy your Christmas season.
Have a great day
Mike
We know that sometimes your static caravan insurance quote may prove to be a little confusing.
Although the insurance industry has worked hard to de-jargonise its documentation over recent years and huge progress has been made, even so, sometimes the terminology may not be immediately clear.
Let’s look at a few examples.
The excess is an amount of money that the insurance company may expect you to contribute towards the cost of any claims. It’s sometimes referred to within insurance documentation as being ‘the first part of any claim’.
Yet if you just see the word ‘excess’ in insurance documentation, it may only be meaningful to you if you’ve encountered it before (it is, in fact, a normal part of many different forms of insurance).
Similarly, perhaps you’re not entirely clear what the difference is between a static caravan, a tourer that’s parked long-terms on a site or a park home.
In fact, there are significant differences between all three caravan types (from an insurance point of view) and understanding those may prove important to you. It might be difficult to understand some elements of your static caravan insurance quote if you don’t!
So, that’s why we’re always only too pleased to offer our services in helping you understand any caravan insurance related terms you’ve come across and don’t understand.
In answer to our own questions above:
It may be difficult to decide what insurance is suitable for you and a good match to your needs unless you fully understand it including those inevitable terms and conditions.
Our services may help you to achieve that in terms of your static caravan insurance quote. We’re here to help so please don’t hesitate to ask!
These days every penny counts, so looking out for a good deal on touring caravan insurance may typically make sense.
Of course, you may be all too well aware that to get the appropriate cover for your caravan, you may not necessarily be able to just opt for the lowest premium. To make sure that insurance for a caravan is giving you what you need, you may have to look closely at just what cover is being provided.
The price alone may not tell you very much at all.
There may be other ways though to get a movement on the price (in a downwards direction of course) without having to sacrifice the level of cover provided.
Some insurance providers may offer discounts in a variety of circumstances.
Caravan Clubs
Some insurance providers (such as ourselves) may regard being a member of a recognised caravan club as a sign of a mature and responsible caravan owner. They regard these clubs as valuable sources of information and knowledge sharing.
Security precautions
Your touring caravan may be at risk from thieves. Above what security precautions are mandatory as part of your caravan insurance cover, fitting alarms and installing a tracking device may help keep your tourer that bit safer.
Parking
If you are in the habit of parking your caravan on the road in front of your house, then it may be more at risk of damage from a passing vehicle or from vandalism. If you can keep your caravan off road, in your driveway for example, then these risks may be reduced.
From an insurance point of view, reduced risk can sometimes mean reduced premiums.
Winter storage
Using an approved CaSSOA site to over-winter your caravan may be another step you can take towards a premium discount for touring caravan insurance.
Every cloud
Some people may freely admit that they have difficulties finding any positive things to say about getting older. This may not always hold true however because you may find that insurance for a caravan with a younger driver may cost more than for someone older.
Excess
So, once you have found the cover you need, you may hopefully also be able to find touring caravan insurance that may offer some attractive discounts to help keep your money in your pocket.
