Can you believe it is the last day of January today already? Tomorrow sees February kick off, time is already flying by.

Last week saw a real mixture of days and the weekend arrived before I knew it, shoppping and visiting relatives and old friends and before you know it Monday has arrived. I did not even get to buy myself anything whilst out shopping – very unlike me!

Have a good day.

It’s important to understand the nature of the insurance that protects your static caravan. The start point of that understanding is often when you get static caravan insurance quotes. Once you have got the ‘right’ quotes, you can then compare static insurance cover and see which policy gives you the most cost-effective protection.

However, some people may start off on the wrong foot and look for the ‘wrong’ type of cover – for example, they may get park home insurance quotes for their static.

Static caravan versus park homes

The difference between these two forms of accommodation has been known to sometimes cause confusion.

That’s unfortunate because typically the distinction between the two is fairly clear.

A static caravan is typically defined as a caravan that is located on a holiday caravan site and which, for the most part, is not regarded as being mobile. They are typically secure (often being jacked off their wheels) and are used for periods during the year for holiday and recreational purposes.

By contrast, a park home is located on a registered park home site that has full local authority permission to be used as a permanent dwelling place. The park home itself is typically occupied permanently, and as your normal place of residence.

There may, of course, sometimes be certain grey areas in these definitions and we will be only too happy to provide you with our advice if you are uncertain as to which of these two categories your particular accommodation comes into.

Static caravan insurance quotes and cover

So, what may static insurance cover? As a general guideline, this form of cover may provide you with protection against problems that affect the caravan itself, your contents, fixtures and fittings, plus some components of protection against the implications of being sued under third party liability laws.

Beyond that, to really understand what the policy is providing (and therefore what it is not providing) it is necessary to read the quotation and any supporting documentation very carefully.

Although the UK caravan insurance industry has done much over recent years to de-jargonise its documentation, you may still encounter some caravan insurance quotations that utilise terms or expressions which are unfamiliar to anyone not closely associated with the industry.

Once again, if you have encountered any expressions or language when getting static caravan insurance quotes which are less than clear, we will be only too pleased to explain in more detail what the expression or sentence means.

Now that is a good Saturday question.

Firstly Cup Cakes come in many forms, but lets get this clear – those of you lucky enough to have a Cup Cake on your Pandora Bracelets – we are talking only about the edible version here!

The Cup Cakes from Tumbletown in Basildon are very nice indeed – a subject touched on in a previous mindless blog rambling of mine!

Today a new source of great cup cakes has been found. In Bluewater shopping centre (Kent) there is a very cool Cup Cake stall and be assured that it is worth travelling to Bluewater now just for the cup cakes!

However, how much is a good cup cake worth?

Greggs charge you around £2.20 for 4. Small but OK.

From memory Tumbletown charge about £1.60 for their hand made cup cakes – worth very penny.

The place in Bluewater charged £10.00 for 4. £2.50 each. To me they were worth every penny.

The stall /shop in  Bluewater is called Buttercup Cake Shop and their web address is www.buttercupcakeshop.co.uk.

- have a look.

Enjoy your weekend.

Dear All

Another week has gone quickly but certainly productively, we had our Team “One To Ones” yesterday and they went very well, it’s good just to spend some time listening to others and taking things on board. The Team are having a quick pay day drink tonight as January is a long month after the Christmas spend!

Only around 12 days and I am taking my partner to watch the Premier League Darts at the O2 Arena, about 10,000 people are expected which is how big the sport is. In fact it is the only sport my partner will watch, whenever the football goes on she gets very upset.

Which brings me to Arsenal and a Carling Cup Final, it is our first major final since 2007 so we will probably lose but at least we got there. Dagenham and Redbridge have a free weekend as it’s FA Cup time and we are inevitably out already, gives us time to concentrate on the League.

Have a great weekend in whatever you are up to.

Where has the week gone as the arrival of Thursday is here?

Today see’s a morning crammed full of one to one’s and then a trip into London and an evening with one of our Insurers. It will be a late finish and somehow I am going to find the energy to get to the gym and then off into Londond again before ending Friday with a trip to the Physio and some lovely needles being stuck into my knee!

It has been an odd week sa far, lots going on. But depsite that it is still important to find time for your friends, sometimes people just need to know that you can be there for them. Time is difficult to give but if you really want to you can find it. You may feel useless just being on the other end of an email or a telephone but it still offers a big ear for listening  -it may not help but it;s always worth a try.

Whatever you are up to today have a good one.
