Trying to interpret a touring caravan insurance quote typically isn’t difficult. Yet deciding between different quotes may be a little more challenging.

Here are a few things that come as standard with our offerings and services but which you may not see elsewhere:

  • new-for-old replacement of a caravan up to three years old, even if it has had previous owners – some caravan insurance policies may only offer this if you have been the single sole owner from new;
  • previous claims history accepted – we will issue a quotation even if you have previously had claims against a policy;
  • we can offer cover for the Hobby range of caravans – something that some other touring caravan insurance providers will not.

There are also some general things that may be worth looking out for when reading your touring caravan insurance quote:

  • policies may apply restrictions in terms of the age of towing drivers – that may need to be checked to be sure that it complies with your personal requirements;
  • you may find opportunities to reduce your premium through discounts for things such as additional security measures (some measures, such as the use of hitchlocks and wheel clamps in certain circumstances may be obligatory);
  • you may see variations and limitations applying to the area of caravan contents cover, so ensuring that your contents are adequately covered only makes sense;
  • continental cover may or may not come as standard with caravan insurance policies – it is also worth checking that it is adequate for your needs, as some policies may constrain it, in their ‘as standard’ offering, to a limited number of days/miles;
  • not all policies will offer cover for external awnings or may have certain stipulations;
  • some policies may apply restrictions, to a varying degree, as to where you can park your caravan when in use;
  • your touring caravan insurance quote may also offer discount opportunities should you securely store your caravan over the winter – these may be better with some policies than others.

Funny how moods can take you in different directions. Yesterday saw a pretty random rambling – unless you know what you are looking for – and today that inspiration to remain slightly random has not gone away – perhaps it’s a sign of things to come?

Yesterday saw a trip to see Marsh in the city – it is always great to catch up with Malcolm as we have known each other for a very long time. I owe Malc’ for taking me out of the Fairweather environment all those years ago as the years I spent with him at HSBC helped me step into Cover4 and all the great things we are now doing here.

Working for one Company is not always the wisest option – but then why bother being wise? Life is for the living although one shouldn’t go around hurting others – but sometimes it just happens.

That brings me onto sharing – that is a funny old word which has many meanings. Sometimes we think we share but oddly, when we sometimes reflect we realise that we simply didn’t because if you were then just perhaps the air would have been cleared a long time ago – but generally our difficulty is sharing what is really inside – even the most open people find that hard. Is that the measure of a true friend – someone who asks you what you are really feeling and thinking?

Anyhow this is a bigger rambling than intended so onto Phil Collins. I wrote a blog some months ago and since I wrote it I cannot believe the amount of comments we have received on it – I am not convinced there are that many mad Phil fans but it is still interesting to read these view points.

Any how, on with the day.

Have a wonderful day and go out and make a difference to someone somehow.

The middle of the week arrives, bang, and before you know it the week is almost concluded and you simply wonder where the time has vanished too!

Today will see yet another trip into the City, this time to see our friends and business partners at Marsh. We have a review meeting and then hopefully a spot of lunch before jumping back on the train to sunny old Southend On Sea.

Yesterday saw a mock interview from our compliance consultant – they are almost as bad as Ofsted – with even more at risk for me perosnally and professionally!

The weather keeps promising an improvement but not much sign of that heatwave just yet, with some luck perhaps it will arrive next week when we venture off onto our Static Caravan Holiday – the clan continue to be excited and I hope it is the relaxing break I need it to be.

It is funny how so many things change over time and today sees me listening to some Phil Collins tunes whilst almost wondering what I am doing in the office at 6.30am! But I am an early riser and old habits are very hard to break. Just head two old but good tunes, one called “Another time”. It is a really reflective tune, favourite part says “..in another time, in  another place, things could have been so different” and it always makes you think about all those twists and turns. The second one is a tune from the Both Sides album – We’re all Sons of our Fathers – and there is one line that is so apt that it is quite simply freaky – “we’re all sons of our fathers, sometimes I feel like mine, I can hear me say and do the things he did because all things go round in time…” and do you know – there is not alot you can do abou that.

Another half term next week and no doubt alot of you maybe getting away, some may even be leaving before the end of this week. If you are going away make sure you have a fab time, pick up a book (or your Amazon Kindle) and loose yourselves in another world!

I am currently reading a David Eddings book, sadly it does not have a dragon in it – not even a wingless one. I wonder if any of you know anything about wingless dragons or if they are just a distant memory now?

Have a great day.

The random blogger returned today but maybe only for a visit!

Good afternoon

Well the Darts at Wembley Arena was an excellent evening, I wanted to see Adrian Lewis beat Phil Taylor and he did just that, and I wanted Gary Anderson to win the event which he did! It was a relatively late night for me so I had Friday off to spend with the family.

The weekend was fairly quiet but I did have a Wetherspoon meal with my other half so the Grandparents came down to look after our son. It’s nice to get a break, especially at the weekend and with a Bank Holiday looming, so the annual Southend Air Show takes place. We may take a stroll down to take a look at the planes as it is usually a good do.

The week has started brightly with lots iof Caravans on cover and the Team are working harder than ever to help you all, please remember we are here on freephone 0800 9797172 for any queries.

Have a great day

So today the schools are shut due to no running water, thats a bit of a shock for all the parents this morning and will no doubt mean alot of child sitting arrangements need to be made. The Water Board are just fantastic!

Yesterday saw a great day out in the City and lots of old friendships re-forged. Having started at 10am and finally returned hopw around 7pm it was a long day.

It never stops though and today saw a 6.30am visit to the Personal Trainer and what a great session it was, lots of heavy weights and I think that finally my arms are building there strength again following my torn tendons now feeling almost like new! Sadly the same cannot be said for my knees but you cannot have it all!

Today is crammed full of meetings and 121′s so I had better snap to it.

Enjoy your day.
