Well the week has just flown by, team meetings and One to Ones have been done and today I have the fun job of doing the action points and we can then see organise ourselves for the month.

I hope everyone enjoyed the second “video blog”, it’s quite good fun after the initial bout of nerves (I am not the most photogenic person in the world!) and it’s nice to be able to explain behind the scenes of an insurance broker. Our New Business Team will be attending the ExCel Caravan show in London which has excited them, they will be taking lots of photos and they have a BIG project to do when they return.

As mentioned we have been testing our new product and all is looking good, we are very excited by this development as it opens up new doors for the Company.

On a personal note my son has a bit of a cold this week which may see him miss nursery tomorrow, I need to call them to check what the procedure is as it’s his first proper day.

Tonight sees a visit to the Nations favourite curry house, that being Wetherspoons, the menu has expanded since I last remember it and as sad as it is I am looking forward to it!

“We would recommend you to other people as we had a bad accident on the way home form scotland the caravan wheel came off as we were travelling home when we got in touch with the insurance they couldnt do enough for us.Everything went really smoothly and everybody who dealt with  us was very good we have now bought another caravan and you have dealt with the new insurance again the insurance agent dealt with us very well.We wrote a letter to AMTRUST to thank everybody for all the help and also   we would like to say a big thank you to Mr Daniel Watson for all his help the other day to renew a new policy for us may you all go onwell for a good future as we all know at the moment things are a bit gloomy kind reagrds”

Southend is now snowing for the first time this winter, and the chances of a white Christmas increase. Personally I hope it doesn’t as I am meant to be taking my partner out tonight for a meal but there you go. She is still recovering from a cold as is my son, I have so far avoided the dreaded bug and am trying to keep my distance!

The Caravan season is well and truly dormant at the moment, only to be expected but things should pick up in January and February ahead of the full season.

The other problem with winter is football cancellations, especially in the lower leagues where a it means loss of revenue and a fixture pile up later in the season.

Congratulations to my Team Dagenham who won an FA Cup game last night on penalties, it has been a tough season so far and any win is welcome.

I went to the game against Port Vale on Saturday and was disappointed to lose, however the hospitality was good as ever.

I had Monday off to spend with my family and was very annoyed that I was being prank called by “Microsoft” telling me I had downloaded a virus. They then wouldn’t hang up and I was furious as I googled this event and it is con. How do these people sleep at night? They rang twice more telling me they were from “Apple” and by this time I was irate. I had the threaten to ring the police to get them to go away.

Don’t be conned by these people, they are lower than the low. Rant over.

On a positive note my Teams are working hard and we had an excellent meeting with our Renewals Team this morning to organise for 2012, it’s always nice to get the troops together to motivate us all, including me!

Well the Christmas shopping is all done bar the food thanks to my very efficient partner, she has organised everything to a military precision and this is because she is better than me at these things!

I will be attending Dagenham’s game against Port Vale on Saturday for my Mum’s birthday, she recently went to see Paul McCartney at the O2 as another treat. She has been a fan of his for many years and I gather she really enjoyed herself.

It is also my father in laws birthday on Saturday and I hope he has a great day.

I have a foolish desire to understand Health & Safety in the workplace as the responsiblity rests squarely on my shoulders. I have not undertaken exams for a very long time and full written answers are certainly an art when compared to the reletive ease of multiple choice.

Interestingly I have quite honestly seen my knowledge increase in leaps and bounds and I am slowly getting more confident, will it be enough to pass? That I really do not know but I hope so.

On a different note the infamous rebranding of Cover4Caravans continues to move forward and we are confident of our January 2012 launch. Watch this space.

The cold weather looks like it is beginning to arrive – please protect your caravan from the freezing temperatures – you did well at this last year as we did not see a huge influx of claims!

Finally this week has seen my two boys performing in their school Christmas Productions. This morning was the turn of my youngest and tonight will see us go and see the eldest in his.

The amount of effort and dedication shown by all the School Staff is truly reflected in the shows – we are left to ask why are we trying to upset the status quo and destroy their pensions? Is it right or is it wrong? If only one of the involved parties would actually tell us what it all really means and perhaps us Joe Public would be in a better position to decide if we support them or not.

Ignorance is bliss but it doe snot always help us!

Next week see’s a trip on Monday out to Nerja, near Malaga, to see our amazing Adword provider http://www.cwa-europe.com/ and undertake our regular review to ensure we are both working in the same direction. I love being able to mix business with pleasure when your business partners also become your friends.

We have ordered our new video blogging equipment and hppefully when I finally land in the office next week I will be be able to start posting video blogs on a regular basis. Quite what the content will be I dont know yet but I have the weekend and a flight to Spain to start working it out! Any ideas?

Finaly our new caravan insurance website and new cover4caravans branding is in it’s final stages of development and I cannot wait to show you all the new design.
